If you use the HP Smart App (for scanning or other advanced printer functions), please know that it will soon be replaced. When I opened HP Smart this morning, it gave me a small message that it would soon be discontinued:
The Download Now link led me to the newly refurbished HP App. It downloaded and installed for free.
Don’t be alarmed if you see this notice on your computer or mobile device. Go ahead and comply with the download, if you wish to continue scanning or manipulating your printer, as you did with the Smart app. The new HP App is safe and fancier-looking… and has more ads built in to it:
After September 15, the HP Smart app will stop working. You may safely uninstall it at any time. Here are some links to the new HP App, in case it isn’t offered on your screen:
